The highest-budget film ever produced by Netflix, 6 Underground, was filmed in Abu Dhabi for six weeks in November 2018. The movie was filmed in Dubai in 2019 and includes sequences from various locations such as Downtown Dubai, the Burj Khalifa, and The Dubai Mall.

The plot revolves around an accountant who is being pursued by a dangerous organization. Also, the only hope for his survival is Vanguard, a covert security firm headed by Tang Haunting, played by Jackie Chan.

7. The Misfits in 2021

In 2019, Piers Brosnan, alongside the rest of the cast and crew, spent multiple weeks shooting scenes for the action-heist film. The Misfits, in Abu Dhabi. The movie takes place primarily in the Middle East. Besides, it tracks the story of a master architect, portrayed by Brosnan. It gets entangled in a massive gold robbery, The Misfits was later released in theaters.
